Shawn Bailey – CPRS

Shawn Bailey is a Certified Recovery Peer Specialist who specializes in working with patients struggling with substance use disorder and patients in Medication Assisted Treatment. Shawn has a previous history of Substance use disorder and struggled with addiction to prescription opioids for years in early adulthood and is now in successful recovery for the past 10 years. Shawn has experience being a patient on MAT medications as well as outpatient treatment, AA/NA and 12 step based recovery. Shawn has spent the last 6 years working as a peer specialist in different capacities such as : working with co-occurring patients, patients in crisis from mental health disorders, patient in detox facilities, residential/inpatients and patients receiving Medication assisted treatment. His experience with addiction, treatment, MAT and now in successful recovery make him uniquely suited to form a relationship with patient based on mutual respect and empowerment. Helping patients recover from the disease of addiction is his passion!”
