“Prior to being a Nurse Practitioner I have been a nurse for many years in a hospital setting treating patients in the medical & surgical area, especially in orthopedics and neurosurgery. As an NP, it has been my pleasure to see patients for primary care, opiate dependence, pain management in a clinical setting as well as other settings such as group homes and other assisted living facilities. I overheard a surgeon once saying to a new staff member that if you treat the patients like they are your grandma/grandpa or other family members then you will do well in healthcare. I truly believe in what he said and treating patients with empathy, respect. Providing the best medical care to my patients is of utmost importance to me.”

I have experience as a Respiratory Therapist for 10 years, as an ICU nurse in the Trauma/Surgical ICU, as a Nurse Manager at a Trauma Center for 20 years; as a Registered Nurse instructor at Hospice and as a House Supervisor at the Department of Corrections. As an NP, it has been my pleasure to see patients for primary care, opiate dependence, pain management in a clinical setting as well as other settings such as group homes, correctional institutions, assisted living facilities, and home health. My motto is to treat others like I want to be treated or how I expect my family to be treated – with kindness, respect, compassion, understanding, and empathy.
